SEKA_WE is a platform dedicated to empowering and amplifying the voices of BIPOC creatives across diverse artistic disciplines, including visual arts, dance, literature, film, and music. We firmly believe in the transformative power of diverse storytelling and artistic expression, and we are committed to cultivating an inclusive and equitable creative landscape where all artists can flourish.
Our mission is to provide comprehensive support, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for BIPOC artists at all stages of their careers. We strive to dismantle systemic barriers, challenge stereotypes, and elevate the perspectives and contributions that these artists bring to the global creative community. We work with various partners through a range of initiatives, including exhibitions, workshops, performances, publications, and community-building programs, to celebrate a diversified artistic representation.
Our name comes from laughter (Guseka means to laugh in Kinyarwanda – the main language of Rwanda) and this is why we are inviting you to laugh with us, smile with us!
